She seems to try to appeal more to people. She attempts to reignite the dead idea of the American dream by telling about her poor beginnings. Also she makes the clear statement that America voted a majority republican.

I think how they are different is she wants what's more for the people and Obama wants what's right for the people and for the economy. Yes Obama cares but I think she cares more about the people and she was a great example to show us it in a different perspective.

Obama talked allot more about 'people' policies, like child care, and overall infrastructure. Ernest talked about taxes, terrorism, and the budget. One thing they shared in common is they didn't really give a definitive plan and were either "This is good" or "This is bad"

Senator Ernst's and President Obamas speeches were similar because they both were addressing what state the country is in. They are both trying to appeal to the citizens of America, however Obama may have been appealing more towards the Democratic Party. Their overall messages compare because they both are trying to come up with ideas that are in the best interest of our country.

Obama and senator Ernst's speech's were similar b them both trying to appeal to America. Obama is trying to help kids and raise taxes. senator Ernst's is against Obama and trying to lower taxes and screw all the low income people over.

Obama and the senators speeches were similar because they both talking about what's going on. The senator was really trying to appeal to women because the majority of Obamas votes came from women, she also talks about how she grew up not rich and most people think all republicans are rich and she was trying to address that they aren't. The overall message is they both want what's best for America.

Senator Ernst speech was all about getting rid of taxes completely and helping the poor not spend as much money. She seems like she's trying to appeal to a bigger crowd than Obama. They're similar because they both want what's best for America. Also the senator was trying to appeal to women since most of obamas votes came from women. It also seems that the senator is only talking about what's bad and how we can make it right. Obama talked about what needs to be done but not without adding what's been good the past couple years. Bottom line is that they're both trying to better America even if it's mre towards different groups of people.

The senator seems to be trying to appeal to a bigger crowd, and Obama looks like hes most trying to direct his speech more towards a female audience. Both want whats good for their country, but they both want to do it in different ways. The senator, obviously was appealing to a bigger crowd because she was relating to more people as Obama focused on one woman to show his care for them voting and supporting him. The senator seemed to want to lower taxes, overall, both just were thinking of ways to make the country better.

I believe that most of the speeches were trying to do the same thing: say what the people want to hear to get their votes. They both are looking out for the people and trying to do what they believe is right. Key words though, "what they believe is right". Obama wants to have more government programs while the senator wants to cut taxes and give back to the people. Obama seemed to be trying to appeal to the whole working force, bottom of the social class. The senator was trying to doing the same, but appeal to women more since Obama holds a lot of the women votes.

the things that are different about both speeches is that they are both speaking to two different audiences. Since obama is black he is mostly specking to the black race poor people or under class people.Ernst speech is toward the white race poor under class people.they are both trying to get there point across but in different ways.

Both Obama and Ernst both were trying to appeal to all of America. Obama was leaning towards more democratic but still they both were just talking about the good things in our country.

Ernst was basically trying to inform everyone that she came from a poor family and that she believes in the American Dream. She said everyone should work their way to the top without any Government Assistance.
