I think that the debate about Homeland Security is going to influence a lot of crime, like terrorist. Its going to be so easy to do stuff in airports or whatever it is. Another thing that's going to happen is immigrants aren't going to have a hard time coming over here, Obama wanted to make it easier for immigrants, the effect of not funding Homeland Security could be bad.

The problem of Homeland Security running out of funding could have terrible long term effects. If funding is not found by Friday then about 30,000 agents from various agencies will be forced to take a leave of absence. This ultimately will impact several different groups of people. For one, tons of immigrants could enter the U.S. because there would be no one to stop them. Also terrorist will see that America is vulnerable and may try to attack.

it could effect the world because we would have less security. we would be in trouble with terrorists. we would be leaving our country wide open we could all be in danger with out homeland security.

This could have a major impact on the DHS. 85% of workers deemed important will have to show up to work, but if there's no money then how do they get paid? I wouldn't want to work for free. Thus we put our country at risk of terrorism and all the other threats trying to enter every single day. This must not go unresolved.

Obviously it's going to influence terrorism, and if those workers who don't get paid to work at the borders we're probably going to have more immigrants show up. We'd technically be an open to all country and that wouldn't be safe for us.
